So today was a free day for me....we met the team at 6 p.m. So....I took my time, showered, relaxed, and mentally prepared myself.
The Pictures on here are nothing compared to what we will see tomorrow....but, I thought it would be good to show you some of what is going on out here.
We had our team meeting and got our "directions for our mission" this week. I am soo excited and will share more with all of you tomorrow.
I was able to go to Soul Kitchen in Red Bank New Jersey and met many wonderful people there. If you have a chance, check out the website for Soul Kitchen ....Jon Bon Jovi Rocks.....Literally!
Since Maddy was not able to be with me on this mission trip, she made 2 bracelets and gave me direct orders to find a couple of girls that needed to have a bright spot in there day.....please meet Jojo and Malea...they were very gracious and excited to accept the bracelets. You have a huge heart miss Maddy!
The picture of the couple holding the blankets were at my table and have very close friends that lost everything! She is going to share these with them :)
My team I will be workong with consists of 3 men and 9 woman! This should be great!
We are working in one of the most poverty stricken areas in New Jersey Tomorrow, Tuesday, and Wednesday and then on Thursday we are going to New York

That hat on that little one is just Adorable! Lots of work ahead. Looks like Day One was a good start!
